It's been close to a year since I posted in this thing! A lot has changed over the past several months. I finished beauty school right before Christmas and Briana and I went to Columbus to take our state boards in February. We're both now licensed cosmetologists lol, w00t! We have both been hired at the new 'Beginnings Salon and Day Spa' and we're just waiting on it to open. We've been training at the salon and taking product knowledge classes and stuff which has been pretty fun. I'm going on about 2 months of not working which has been good and bad. Nice because I have plenty of time to plan the wedding and do whatever I want but bad because I have no income! lol but I'm getting by. I made some really amazing friends in school but I'm definitely missing the ones I had before I started. Not sure how everything is going to work out but I guess what is meant to happen will happen. I recently got my hair chopped but I really like it. I needed a style.
Hope everyone is doing well! |

Haven't updated this in a long time now. Nothing signifigant has really happened. I did cut about 3 or 4 inches off my hair and I feel ugly and bald, but that happens every time. School is continuing to suck the life out of me. My life consists of school, work and time with Rick. Quite frankly, I have no time and no energy for anything else. I'm ready for it to be over. We're in the skin cycle right now, doing facials and whatnot and my skin has gotten worse than ever- tell me how that happens. I'm ready to claw my face off. Our class has it's moments too. Everyone has a bad attitude. We're all tired and lazy all the time. Hopefully this weather will slowly bring everyone out of their depression.
This past weekend was much needed. Saturday Rick and I got up early and went down south to where his parents were camping. Julie made us breakfast and Rick and I went fishing. We went on a 3 hour four wheeler ride with his mom and dad and it was awesome! The trails were great. Sunday we came home from church and layed around. Grilled some burgers, made some home-made fries and Rick whipped up some mixed drinks. Monday I slept in and then cleaned a little. Rick came over and later we went to dinner at Di's with the whole family. Played some volleyball- very interesting considering all my younger cousins are brats, lol.
Only had to work one day this week! Glad I got it over with already.
-Tomorrow we get out of school at 3:15 because the admin. has a meeting. Makes all the difference in the world! And we get to do the parafin facial tomorrow too. -Thursday is Rick's tournament basketball game and then two softball games in Kent. -Saturday is the Whiskey Ranch with Alice and Steph for her 21st birthday =] |

Life as of late has been nothing short of amazing.
Valentine's Day

Girl's night with Karen, Lydia and Bethany

=]

Bethany and Kerianne

Marsha and Donny's wedding reception

I start school a week from Monday! Which means my last day working 9-5 at Vitanet is this coming Friday. I'm anxious excited.
Last night my parents and Rick and I went to Lake Centers basketball game an hour away and they lost so they're done for the year. I feel bad for Jesse since it's his senior year, the game was terrible. On the way home we stopped for dinner at Ruby Tuesdays.
Rick came over this morning and made me breakfast =] We watched The Illusionist, which I loved.
Maybe tonight we'll see a movie and go to Applebees.
Hope you all are well, miss you and love you guys.
Please pray for my family in it's entirety- we're all kinda struggling one way or another.

the best Sunday afternoon/evening/night ever; football, naps, pool

Rick and I went to the Lake Center game tonight with Brent and Lydia. They lost really bad but it wasn't entirely the boys' fault. The refs were absolutely terrible. The crowd was pretty fired up. Lyd and I got to hear it from Brent and Rick the whoooole ride home =]
Tomorrow I need to sit down and fill out my FAFSA, which I'm dreading. Rick has to work so we're gonna miss the pancake breakfast at Bethany Mennonite. VERY disappointing. We're gonna go out to dinner once he's home though. I really need to clean my house. It's really really unkempt. Not gross, but getting kind of close. What I REALLY want to do is go shopping, but I can't because I really should be saving my money. |

first of all- check us outtt http://vitanetonline.com/support/
anyways- talked to my manager and she says that i can continue to work at vitanet while i go through school. i start march 12th so from then until probably the summer time, i'll work monday, tuesday and thursday night from 5:30-9 just answering phones, updating prices and stuff. i'll pretty much work all by myself since we "close" at 5. i'll miss my girls but it should be fun anyway. just making enough money to get by and make my monthly school payment. i can write articles for work too to pick up some extra money as well. also, i'm going to start going in at 9 instead of 10 every day to save some money for school.
this weekend was so relaxing. on Saturday i caught up on most of my sleep, went grocery shopping, did dishes and laundry, baked cookies. Went to the Hartville Kitchen [carry-out] and visited everyone. My beautiful Valeene asked me for my number so we exchanged. Hopefully i'll hear from her soon. Rick came over around 8 and we hung out til almost 2.
church with rick this morning as usual, then out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse with bethany and adam since he was here for the weekend from college. after lunch we came here and watched some football, fell asleep around 3:30 and didn't wake up until 6:30 when there was like a minute thirty left in the first game. deb got us all subway for dinner so we went over and ate with them then went back to watched football. started playing pool at half time. went back to my room and started a movie and got myself a nice backrub because for some reason it's been bugging me as of late. Rick left around 12 and now here i am. spent the entire day together and i'm still left wanting more. just completely smitten.
tomorrow is work, the Y, Deb's jewlery party, and bethany staying the night. possibly a movie with her and rick.
hope you all are well =] |

rick and i went out tonight for our 6 month. kind of hard to believe it's been a half a year already, but at the same time it seems like it's been much longer. i hate to gush but he's a dream.
briana told me the other night that she's decided to go to beauty college and wants me to come too. i honestly haven't stopped thinking about it since. i'd have to quit my job that i really like- not have any money for almost a year and not have any free time. we'd have to commute an hour both ways like 5 days a week. i'd probably have to get a job waitressing at night and all day on Saturdays. this is something i've always had in the back of my mind but never did anything with. now i'm getting the kick in the butt i need to just follow through. going with briana would be so much fun. it's 15 thousand to go and takes a little less than a year to finish but then after that, you're all set. she'll be getting me the packet on it one of these days.
tomorrow is church and then movies and chinese with bethany and rick. maybe mandy too. |

Went to see a movie with Briana today. We saw Marie Antoinette and it sucked. Moved back into Deb's tonight- so good to be back here and have my own space =] Had Rick over for a while. Sad that he has to leave at night.
I only have to work Wednesday and Thursday this week. Tomorrow after work Mandy and I are hanging out finally. Then Thursday night is girls night with everyone from school. I called off for Friday and I believe I'll be going to Indiana to see Kelly and her family. I can't hardly wait til then. We'll come home Saturday night sometime then. Sunday is church with Rick, then watching the Browns game with Brent and Lydia and starting our New Years Party right after that haha. Should be a good time. =] Then on Tuesday Rick and I are going to the Q with his mom and Pam & Ryan to watch his brother Jesse play basketball then staying for the Cavs game. So much to look forward to. |

[Dec. 26th, 2006|07:21 am] |
I had the most wonderful Christmas this year. It seems that this year there was a lot less emphasis on the gifts but on the family. The gifts went above and beyond, don't get me wrong- but it was just different this year. On Thursday night we had Rick over for dinner and some gift giving. One of my gifts from Rick was an engraved photo album =] It was special because I didn't give him a list or any ideas. He just had to come up with things he thought I'd like- and he did great. I got the Little Miss Sunshine DVD from him, some art supplies and a scented candle-like-but-not thing, lol. Then on Saturday I baked all afternoon- cookies and whoopie pies. We went over to Rick's parents house and exchanged gifts with Pam & Ryan [Rick's older sister and brother in law], Jesse & Heather [Rick's younger brother and his girlfriend] and his Mom and Dad. I had a really nice time with his family. After that we headed over to my grandma and grandpa k's for dinner and some more gift exchanging. We stayed there from like 7-9:30 then went to his gradma's house for their get together. It was a madhouse! Same amount of people as there were with my family but twice as many small children! Heather and I just sat on the couch and watched our guys play some hardcore keep-away with the boys. Today we went to Deb's house around 12:30. Ate lunch, played games, played pool, opened more gifts and just hung out with everyone. Rick and I managed a nice nap in between lunch and the games =] Didn't leave Deb's until after 9. It was kinda rough during the prayer before lunch- it's our first Christmas without Wendell and Deb and Whitney ended up crying. Just got to keep praying. Came home and opened the rest of our presents. I really love that I belong to the immediate and extended family that I belong to.
Tomorrow I get to move back into Grandma and Dave's which means more laundry, packing and cleaning! We're hoping it rains and Rick doesn't have to work so we can go out to lunch but we'll see.
Merry Christmas, everybody =] |

Dyed my hair for the first time in a looonggg time tonight. It's daaaark. And I don't hate it. Went to Summit Mall yesterday alllll day with Bethany. Got some Christmas shopping done. I love buying things for Rick. Shopping for guys is so much fun. Then today after church we ended up going shopping again- this time with Deb and Whit to Belden. Got myself some AE jeans since my current Gap jeans have gaping holes in the crotch. I love new jeans.
Rick has been gone since Thursday morning. Him and the guys are in Iowa on a hunting trip. He got a buck this morning- a 13 point which is pretty nice. Baked him a ton of cookies to take along and they're already basically gone. I miss him like crazy! But I'm so glad he's having fun. He'll be back Thursday night =] I think today was my first Sunday at church without him in the past 5 months. This is the most we've been apart since July- lol.
Back to work tomorrow which is actually alright with me. |

[Nov. 23rd, 2006|06:10 am] |
Past few days have been bliss.
Found out today that I'm getting a dollar raise come December.
Finally picked up my pictures !
Wendell has the kids for the week so it's just Deb and I. Her and I are crashing together so that I'm not scare and she's not lonely. Works out pretty good- like a slumber party every night lol.
Spent some time with Mandy. She's so much fun. Found out I'm really cheesy- "in a good way" ahaha
Rick and I have gotten so much closer just in the past week. We've had the best conversations- I love loving everything about him.
Rick and I are going to my dad's side, my mom's side, AND his family's Thanksgiving so it'll be a busy day. Gotta get up early tomorrow and make pumpkin whoopie pies to take along.
Only like 23 days til Steph comes home from Kansas for break! |

Hung out with Ms Maria last night for the first time in a long time. Watched Life As We Know It and got all caught up with each other. It was fun, hopefully next time Jamie and Stacey can join as well.
Today was another wonderful Sunday. Went to church with Bethany and Rick. Then the three of us went to Chili's for lunch. Saw a bunch of Rick's buddies. Went to Walmart and got some pictures developed.
The only bas part of the day was driving to Akron Children's with Bethany and Mandy. Well, TRYING to. Getting lost and pissed. We all wanted to absoluetly slaughter each other. Got to the hospital after going the wrong way for a very long time, got yelled at by a crabby nurse, and didn't even get to see baby Nathan because Jen had gone home 30 minutes earlier. It was just a bad hour and a half.
Rick came over for a while once we finally got home. Hung out for a while and called Brent and Lydia. The four of us went out to Friday's. Came home and Rick and I talked with Deb for a while about the latest drama in her life. I love my aunt. Wow. Rick went home around 930 and Deb, Whit, Bethany and I just sat around in the office for a while.
Tomorrow and Tuesday Rick will be gome hunting down south. Which means I'll get a lot of laundry, dishes and cleaning done. Hopefully work doesn't suck too bad tomorrow. I really hate Mondays at that place- the phones are awful. |

[Nov. 5th, 2006|01:08 am] |
Moved into my new place on Monday night after work. It feels a lot more like home than I thought it would. City water though, which makes my hair feel icky but I guess that's just something I'll have to get used to. Bethany's parents didn't want her to move out so she just moved in with me for the week. Hopefully this will continue every other week for forever. We got up this morning and went to the church auction. Then to the nail place & lunch. Then shopppppiiinnngg =] Came home and made dinner and lounged around. Now we're gonna go rent a movie or something.
Work has been kind of sucky lately. The pay is crap and I don't like the way or agree with the way that they run their business, the customer service especially. I guess it will have to do for now. I love working with Bethany, and having Saturdays off is the greatest thing ever.
Haven't been on the computer nearly as often which is good for me. Lots of time with friends and doing productive things. I love life right now. |

[Oct. 30th, 2006|05:58 am] |
Things have been really odd lately. I don't think there's any other way of putting it. My emotions have been absolutely all over the place. I feel bad for Rick. I always catch him just looking at me, trying to figure out what the heck I'm thinking.
Went to church this morning and sat with Rick's parents. The preacher was someone from PA who was close to the Amish school house shootings- it was really neat. Got Subway after and came back to my house and layed around the basement. It was a good afternoon.
Mandy, Lucy and I went to visit little Nathan in the hospital. We bought magazines, flowers, pizza, chinese food, pop, candy, chips and donuts for Jen. Teenage girls know how to stock someone up on junk food =) [Jen is a lady that works at the Kitchen. While she was at work on Friday, her boyfriend beat her 10 month old baby. They didn't think he was going to make it. His brain had severe swelling and the whole one side of his face was crushed.] They said that the first 36 hours were the most critical and he made it through, but he really isn't doing much better. They had to induce him into a coma because he was becomming too aware of everything. Since he's only a baby, the pain would just scare him and make things worse. Also, his body won't have to work as hard to stay alive. They're gonna bring him out of it in the next few days and do some more tests. It was probably the saddest thing I have ever seen. Walking into that room today was awful. He's hooked up to so many different machines. His head is all wrapped and bandaged and his face is puffy. He's just in a diaper, laying on his back. His little belly goes up and down when the machine breathes for him. He just looks like he's sleeping. We're gonna go back next weekend to see him. Jen says hopefully we'll get to see his pretty blue eyes. Please pray for Nathan. And pray for Jen as well. She doesn't really have family she's close to and they're really low on money. The whole thing is just a really sad situation. |

On Monday we had a business dinner/meeting for VitaNet at Macaroni Grill. I had no idea how fancy that place was. We got all dressed up and went and had dinner with our rep and a big wig from Neutroceutical. It was incredible. Everything was on them so we ordered calamari for an appetizer, then a main dish, then a dessert. I can't even imagine what our bill was. We got gift bags with free product and all kinds of samples. Kerianne, Bethany and I all drove up together. Learned a lot about vitamins that I probably won't remember. It was a really great night.
Tuesday was the weigh in and I had lost 4.8 pounds in a week! Needless to say I was pumped. Hung out with Rick afterwards- went to Starbucks and then came back here.
Wednesday was church and then Bethany and I walked. We got home in time for Project Runway and Rick came over too =] We were over at Bethany's until 1 in the morning and we all had to get up early.
Tonight was the usual Thursday night; Bethany, Rick, Mandy and Bryan all came over and we watched Grey's Anatomy. I love that group of people. They're wonderful =]
I have been getting no sleep as of late and I'm making no effort to change it. So much energy. |

House sitting was a blast. Really made Bethany want to move in with me at Deb's. Hopefully that all works out. Been hanging out with Bethany. Brent and Lydia. Rick.
Went to Rick's family thing on Saturday night. Sat around the fire with everyone and talked. It was really nice. Reminded me of my family.
Grandma and Dave leave for Florida for the winter on the first of November. They were sad about missing Thanksgiving so Grandma decided to cook lunch and have us all over for an early one. It ended up being a really great day/evening/night. Rick and I were there from 12:30 til almost 9. We had lunch then watched the Browns. Then sat around inside and out since the weather was perfect. Played some games with everyone. Had leftovers for dinner and then left and went to Brent and Lydia's house. Chad and Kim were over and we sat around and watched the Steelers lose =]

Past few weeks have been nothing but fun. I'm really enjoying life right now.
Went to church and weighed in on Tuesday. Lost 3.4 pounds this week and Bethany lost 2.5! We're right on track =]
Tonight I met up with some people from the Hartville Kitchen and we all went to calling hours for Gloria who used to work there. She had lung cancer and it spread. It was so weird because she started at the kitchen the same time I did and then left about 6 months later when she got sick. We hadn't seen her since like January and then about 3 weeks ago she came and got carryout and we all went out and saw her. I don't think anyone expected her to pass away so quickly. I'm really glad we all got to see her one last time. She was such a joyous person. I don't know what to say. Death is so weird.
Had bible study at Steve and Holly's house tonight. I realllllyyy enjoy the book we're reading for that class. It's called Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. We're only about 4 or 5 chapters into it but I would highly recommend reading it. Afterwards we all just sort of hung around and talked which was really nice. Such a nice group of people.
Bethany and I are housesitting this Saturday through next Saturday (which is mine and Rick's 3 month anniversary). A nice huge house belonging to the best people ever. Should be another great week. We're gonna behave this time.
I move into Deb's in a month. & I've got big plans =] |
